A Framer template is a finished website you copy into your own Framer account. You change the words, pictures and colors in the editor. You do not write code.

Five steps
- Open the template on Framer. Press "View on Framer" on any template page. Look at the live demo first, and read the list of included pages.
- Copy it to your account. Press the remix button on the Marketplace page and sign in to Framer. The template is copied into your own project. The original stays untouched.
- Replace the content. Click any text or image and change it. Start with the home page, then move to the other pages. Colors and fonts are set once in the styles panel, so a new look is quick.
- Check every size. Switch between desktop, tablet and phone in the editor. Fix long words, small images and crowded buttons before you publish.
- Publish. Press Publish in Framer. You get a free framer.website address to share and test. Add your own domain when you are ready.
Before you start
- Make a free Framer account. Editing a template needs one.
- Collect your text, logo and images first. Editing goes fast when the content is ready.
- Pick a template that already looks like your site. It is easier to fill a layout than to rebuild one.
What it costs
There are three separate costs. Mixing them up is the most common surprise.
- The template. Some are free, some are paid once. Our templates are free to copy. Paid templates show their price on the template page.
- The Framer plan. You can build and test on a free account. A custom domain, and higher page and CMS limits, need a paid site plan. Plans and limits change, so read the current Framer pricing.
- The domain. A name like yourname.com is bought from a domain seller, not from us.
A free template does not mean free publishing on your own domain. Plan for the Framer plan and the domain. The full breakdown is in Framer pricing explained.
Check before you publish
- Replace every sample name, email, link and image.
- Set the page title, description and social image for each page.
- Open the site on a real phone.
- Click every button and test every form.
- If the template has a CMS, check that the number of items fits your plan.
- Update the privacy and legal pages so they describe your own site.
Using a template for a client
Every Vonex template follows one template license. Free templates can be used for any number of client sites. A paid template covers one site per license. You cannot resell the template itself.
