A free Framer template is the fastest way to a good portfolio: the layout, type and animation are done, and you only add your work. Here are 10 free portfolio templates on Framer Marketplace, who each one suits, and what to check before you choose.
Two of them are ours, so we say so. The rest are by other Framer creators. Everything listed was free on Framer Marketplace on November 3, 2026.
How we picked
- Free to copy from Framer Marketplace.
- Built for a personal or studio portfolio, not a general business site.
- A mix of styles: minimal, bold, photo-led and case-study-led.
1. Ethan Walker (ours)

Large type and plenty of space for a designer's portfolio. Projects and services live in the Framer CMS, so adding a case study does not mean editing the layout. Pages: Home, About, Work, a page per project, Contact and Privacy Policy.
Best for: UI, UX and graphic designers who add projects often.

2. Softic Studio (ours)

A dark, bold portfolio for a design studio, with case studies in the CMS and a team section. It presents a small team or a freelancer as a studio.
Best for: small agencies and freelancers who sell services, not only show work.
3. Jett
A full portfolio site with a premium feel. By Mickael Zimmer.
Best for: Designers who want a polished, multi-page portfolio.
4. Tabfolio
A portfolio for UX and product designers. By Sebastian.
Best for: UX designers who show case studies more than images.

9. Nuria

Best for: Illustrators and creatives with a lighter tone.
10. Taylor
An agency and portfolio template. By Akin & Ed.
Best for: Freelancers who present themselves like a small studio.
How to choose
- Start from your work. Image-heavy work suits photo-led layouts. Case studies need long project pages.
- Check the CMS. If you add projects often, pick a template with a projects collection.
- Open the live demo on your phone. Most visits to a portfolio come from a phone.
- Count the pages you need. A one-page site is fine to start; you can add pages later.
- Read the license. Each author sets their own; ours is one template license for every Vonex template.
Is a free template really free?
Copying the template costs nothing, and you can build and test on a free Framer account. Your own domain needs a paid Framer site plan. The details are in Framer pricing explained.
