Short answer: use the Framer version if you want to edit the site visually and have it live today. Use the code version if you want a small static site you host yourself, or you already work in code.
Most of our templates are made in Framer. Some also come as code, with the same design. The template page shows a "Buy code" button when a code version exists.

Pick Framer if
- You want to change text, images and layout without opening a file.
- You need a CMS for projects or posts that you edit in a browser.
- You are new to websites and want the shortest path to a live page.
Pick code if
- You want a fast static site with no monthly platform fee.
- You want to host it yourself or put it in your own repository.
- You or your developer will add features that Framer does not offer.
Questions
Is the code version the same design?
Yes, the same design and layout. We rebuild each Framer template by hand as a clean project and check it against the original on desktop, tablet and phone. It is a close match, not pixel for pixel: fonts can render slightly differently and a few effects are rebuilt rather than copied. The README of each code version lists the known differences.
Is it an export of the Framer site?
No. Exported sites carry the Framer runtime and generated code. A code version is written from scratch, so it is clean, small and yours to change.
Do I need to know how to code?
A little. You install Node.js, run two commands and edit a text file. The README explains each step. If you do not want to touch files at all, use the Framer version.
Can I get a refund?
No. Code versions are digital products and all sales are final, so check the live preview and the README first. If something does not install or build as described, we help you fix it. Your legal rights stay as they are.
Can I use the code for client work?
Yes, for one project or one client per license. You cannot resell or share the files. Both formats follow the same template license.
